Shapes of Molecules part 1 edexcel

Shapes of Molecules

This tutorial looks at the valence shell electron pair repulsion theory (VSEPR) that allows the shapes of  molecules (simple covalent) to be predicted. We highlight the basic rules to follow plus the shapes and angles you must know e.g. linear, trigonal planar etc. with an example of each. This is essential as it allows you to work out the shapes of seemingly difficult or unusual molecules.
